These very robustly made medieval shoes with brass buckles are ankle-high at the shaft. This simple shoe shape was particularly popular with foot soldiers from around 1250 to 1500. The shoe can therefore be assigned to the late Middle Ages. The smooth leather sole has a small heel. More information...
Medieval Ankle Boots with Straps and Buckles, Dark Brown
- Upper made from approx. 2 mm thick cowhide leather
- Sole made from approx. 7 mm thick smooth leather
- Colour: dark brown
- Available as standard in EU sizes: 39 to 47
Please note:
The robustness of shoes based on historical patterns may not meet modern requirements! They are quite sensitive on tarmac, concrete blocks and gravel. These kinds of ground surfaces did not exist in the Middle Ages! We therefore recommend retrofitting them with rubber soles at the cobbler of your choice if you walk a lot on hard surfaces. We would also like to point out that leather is a natural product and that variations in colour and/or grain are quite common. Therefore, no two pairs of these leather shoes are the same and the images are for illustrative purposes only.
