The Burgundian fashion comes from the second half of the fourteenth century from the area that is now in west France. The core of this women's dress is the so-called Robes, which is a richly draped dress, whose silhouette on Houppelande recalls. But its cut is different. The burgundy dress is under the breasts divided into closely molded bodice followed by a wide train-skirt. The trumpet-shaped sleeves are very long and reach down to the knees.
