Miyamoto Musashi is one of the most notable Samurais in Japanese history. He lived from 1584 to 1645. He is praised as the best swordsman of Japan. He was a fighter, artist and craftsman at the same time. He developed his own fighting style, which is still taught today as "Niten Ichiryu". Both short and long sword are used simultaneously here. Unforgettable is his founding of a school for the production of engraving the sword tsubas. His most famous, very simple Tsuba consists of two oval rings. In this special version, the tsuba is additionally decorated with fine golden details and the other parts are elegantly decorated too.
