Bamboo Katana by Citadel
Symbolic of the straight growth of the bamboo, and the Citadel Katana Bamboo has a small blade deflection. Handle accounts (Kashira) and handle clamp (Fuchi) are from Iron, covered with a simple but elegant, high-gloss black lacquer. Iron is also the tsuba, which is not cast but is made by hand. It shows exactly how butt cap and grip clamp, finely engraved bamboo motifs. Trim rate (Menuki) of silvered bronze offer a nice contrast to the dark winding handle (Tsuka-Maki) and emphasize the graceful whole. More information...

Bamboo Katana by Citadel
- Sword in Shinogi zukuri style with channeling (Bo-Hi) at the back of the blade.
- Forged habaki silver plated, engraved copper.
- Seppa of silvered brass.
- Handle wrapped in black, Japanese silk in classic Hineri-maki style.
- Black, high-gloss lacquered scabbard (Kuroro style).
The razor sharp blade is made of 1075 carbon steel. Differentially hardened by use of clay application on 60 HRC at the cutting edge and approx. 40 HRC on the blade back. The master polisher lets the masterpiece of the blacksmith stand out and shine. A mirror-polished surface, as well as a clearly recognizable temper line (hamon) are the true result.
