Sharpening Guide Clip
This guide clip is suitable for blades of 35-45mm (1.4"-1.8") of width. For such blades, a clip will hold an edge of approximately 16°. This auxiliary Sharpening Guide for sharpening of knives on stone is made of insensitive plastic. It is equipped on both sides with two ceramic gliders, which roll on the stone during sharpening/grinding without soiling it. The angle clamp / Sharpening Guide is suitable for knives up to a blade thickness of approx. 3.2mm. During grinding, the clamp holds the lower edge of the knife blade at a height of approx. 7mm. When sharpening a knife with a wider blade, the sharpening angle is sharper than 15°. For knives with narrower blades, the grinding angle is more obtuse. More information...

The Sharpening Guide Clip (or Angle) helps to maintain the same sharpening angle while sharpening your knife. The purpose of the soft plastic on the inner side of the clip is to prevent the blade from getting damaged, while a special ceramic cover enables smooth sliding on the whetstone without damaging it.
