Leg protection was always essential for cavalry regiments. They were This version of armor legs is based on an an original armor from south Germany. The armor is nowadays exhibited in museum “Deutsches Historisches Museum in Berlin”. These armor legs reflect the influence of Belgian and Austrian armourers on those in Germany. We admire especially the beautiful curved flutes and the complex harmony of all parts the armor legs consist. The lateral hinge system can be found also in the Valdemar’s VI armor preserved in the Royal Armouries or in the archduke and later emperor Maximilian’s I. armor. More information...

The leg harness is made in 1.6mm steel plate. The effective gauge of the steel plate may vary due to the handcrafted way of manufacturing.
