In the 13th century when the foundations of the later Swiss state were established this type of quiver belonged among the most common ones. Simplicity and especially usefulness of this quiver were its main strengths appreciated by crossbowmen from the Schwyz canton. The crossbow quiver for bolts used in the "classic" crossbow is made of 2.5-3mm thick ground cowhide. Carrying loops attached to the quiver's upper extension are used to wear the quiver suspended from the belt. At your request we can produce this quiver in dimensions that you require. We recommend that the produced quiver be circa 1-3cm higher than the bolt's total length is. This is up to you decide in relation to the type of bolts you use. The quiver can hold circa 20 bolts. Besides the colour shown in the picture the quiver is available in other colours: see the choice of colour.
