Legolas Greenleaf is the son of Thranduil, King of the Woodland Elves. An expert archer, he is skilled with both the long and short bow. When traversing the dense forests of Mirkwood, he prefers using the light and lethal short bow of the Mirkwood Guard. The Mirkwood bow reflects the natural elegance and functional artistry of the Woodland Elves, with ornately carved, overlapping leaf shapes adorning the bowstring nock tips. Natural brown and green wood colours camouflage the bow, helping the Woodland Guard blend into their environment. It includes a barbed Elven arrow, a favourite used by Legolas when dispatching Orcs in Mirkwood.
