This is a battle ready reconstruction follows after an original from 14th century. Kettle hats were popular during this period throughout Europe, especially among foot soldiers. This helmet is hand-hammered from 14 gauge steel plate (2mm). It is especially attractive because of its pure and simple shape and the wavy edges of the top cap and tower of the helmet bowl, each firmly riveted to the lower part. It includes a leather inlay as well as chin strap with authentic brass buckle. These helmets were frequently worn with a padded arming cap and a chain mail coif.
