Decorated pouch with the Celtic staff
This pleated belt pouch as another one of possible versions was common mainly in the area of southern Wales in about the 5th century. The bag has the form of a pouch. The flap is made of up to 2.5mm thick cowhide. Another decorative accessory is a flap decorated up to the half with a woven basket. The pleated sides of the pouch are made of up to 1.8mm thick soft leather. The closing is secured via a decorative Celtic staff. More information...
