I bought this sword and was unsure of what to expect for the price. I had bought from outfit4events many times and had always been happy with the stage swords they sell. This one in particular was listed as being made in Czechzia which inspired confidence in me as I had owned a couple of Fabri and Wulflund products that I was happy with. Though I don't know the name of the make, other than the fact they are Czech, the sword is well made. The fittings are well made, bit oversized for a one handed sword, and are extremely securely riveted. The leather on the grip was not great but I will let that slide for the low price. I did replace the leather and learned that the tang is very wide and it did have a two piece wood core glued on as slabs on the top and bottom of the tang. The cross guard appeared to be welded onto the tang. I bought this sword the Burgund to use as a stage sword and have not had a chance to fence with it yet, for armored combat. The edges are a bit thin for that purpose around 2 mm where I would prefer they were a little thicker at 3 mm. Not a big deal, I did bash it against similar stage swords to see how it would do and the edge seems like it should hold up as I didn't notice any deformities when smacking it with my Fabri stage swords. The pommel is over sized and could be several grams or ounces lighter. It's a nice pommel, well shaped, just too big for a one handed sword. Despite it's hefty weight because most of the mass is in that oversized pommel it actually handles very well, especially for the price. Though it does feel hilt heavy, :) as to be expected. It's a good sword.
