Lansquenet costume, about 1530
Landsknechts wore multicolored trimmed clothes. It is questionable whether their units have been useful in battle, but they always attracted attention. The jacket is decorated with wide sleeves; the chest is sewn with colored stripes. Around neckline and on stripes is simple embroidery. The costume is completed by a decorated beret. Pants and sleeves are padded. This Lansquenet costume is replenished with decorative beret. More information...
