High-quality Velvet Corset, Under Bust Corset, black

In the 18th century, the desired silhouette changed. The hourglass shape became fashionable and the corset did away with straps.

Corsets are characterised by their extremely shaping properties. They are stiff and are always associated with undergarments.

Corsets (or corsages) are less stiff and are usually worn visibly.

This under bust corsage is made of black velvet and has a cotton lining. The longitudinal seams are reinforced with rods. These create a wonderfully feminine silhouette when laced up. The corset is laced at the centre front and centre back at waist height. An underlap at the centre back covers the gap that would otherwise remain open when lacing. The lacing band is slightly elasticated, which makes it very comfortable to lace up and wear.

The corsage is very high quality and unusually comfortable, you will be surprised.

The velvet corsage goes well with a blouse and skirt or over a loose dress. If you don't insist on an authentic look, you can complete your costume for a pirate, shield maiden, witch or noblewoman with this corsage.
