Medieval Velvet Bodice Anik, black

Bodices appeared in the late Middle Ages and are still firmly anchored in traditional costume fashion today. They give the upper body the desired shape and are worn both under and over clothing. Medieval Velvet Bodice Anik, black

This lace-up bodice is made of cotton velvet and cotton fabric. It is also lined with cotton fabric. The front lacing and partial lacing at the sides allow the bodice to be customised to fit your body. The longitudinal seams are only lightly reinforced, making this corset very comfortable to wear all day long.

If the bodice is combined with a blouse, skirt and matching accessories, the result is a harmonious costume for a maid or pirate.

  • Available sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL
  • Colour: black (also available: green)
  • Material: 100% cotton
  • Total length for size M: approx. 22 cm (measured at the centre front)

Care instructions:

Cotton velvet should not be put in the washing machine, as velvet will then crease irrevocably. Velvet should also not be ironed, as the pile will lose its depth. We recommend brushing out light stains with a clothes brush in the direction of the pile. For more serious stains, we recommend taking the dress to the dry cleaner.

How to find the right size:

To determine your dress size based on your body measurements, please measure horizontally at the largest point. For tops, please use your chest measurement as a guide. If you are between two sizes, we recommend that you choose the larger size. Comfort allowances are included in the pattern.

Please note: Only the bodice is sold here! The other items are available separately in our online shop.
