Medieval Dress Meira with Velvet Details, black
The details trimmed with cotton velvet, such as the hems, shoulder yoke and stand-up collar, give the dress a stately character. The skirt is flared and swings beautifully thanks to the wide velvet hem.
This medieval lace-up dress is versatile and offers a great basis for creating a costume, from medieval to gothic to LARP.
Velvet first appeared in the Mediterranean region in the 14th century and was mainly woven in Italy. The elaborate design and the fact that this fabric was mostly made from silk made velvet robes into exclusive items of clothing. Velvet was very popular in Burgundian fashion and during the Renaissance.
- Available sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL
- Colour: black (also available: burgundy/red)
- Material: 100% cotton
- Total length for size M: approx. 150 cm (measured from the highest shoulder point)
Care instructions:
Cotton velvet should not be put in the washing machine, as velvet will then crease irrevocably. Velvet should also not be ironed, as this will cause the pile to lose its depth. We recommend brushing out light stains with a clothes brush in the direction of the pile. For more serious stains, we recommend taking the dress to the dry cleaner.
