Easy to use: Each umbo comes with 4 pre-drilled holes. Just buy 4 antique finish nails for a quick and easy installation on your shield. (Ordinary mild steel mushroom rivets can also be used if you prefer). This shield boss is historically accurate and will be perfect for mounting on your own Viking round or Norman kite shield. (Also applicable to earlier Celtic or Germanic warrior shields too).
