Plain Steel Heater Shield 1.2 mm Mild Steel 47x61cm unpainted blank, 14th cen.
The Heater Shield is equipped with a metal handle on the back with a wooden handle and a leather strap, so it can be used practically for example for reenactment or theatrical performances of duels. However, the 1.2 mm thick material is not suitable for power fencing, bouhurts, etc.
- The shield is available with either a polished iron finish, a black painted finish or a white painted finish.
- The shield is approx. 47 cm wide and 61 cm long.
Note: The polished version of the Heater Shield has been carefully preserved with a layer of oil before packaging, which serves as a temporary protective layer against corrosion (rust). This can be easily removed with any oil remover, paper towels or a dry cloth.
