15th Century Italian Barbute from 1.6mm Mild Steel

This replica of an Italian Barbute is handcrafted from 1.6mm thick mild steel. It has a leather lined inside. The helmet base measures approximately 27.5 × 22 cm. The interior of the helmet offers space for the head (e.g. also in a chain mail hood) with a maximum circumference of 68 cm. The T-shaped face opening is 13.5 cm wide and approx. 14.5 cm long. The total height of the helmet is approx. 27 cm and weighs approx. 2410 grams.

Note: This helmet has been carefully preserved with oil before packaging to provide a protective layer against corrosion (rust). The oil layer can be easily removed using any oil remover, paper towels or even a dry rag.
