This helmet stays true to the classic Spangenhelm design, valued for its simple construction and functional, effective head protection. The helmet has a distinctive nasal that not only serves as a face protection, but also gives the helmet its typical shape to emphasize the imposing image of the Viking warrior.
The bell of the helmet is divided into four quarters, which are tightly knotted with connecting clasps and wind over the top of the bell from ear to ear and from forehead to neck. The top of the bell is covered by a small decorative cap that covers the top connector of the clasps. The lower edge of the bell is reinforced with a clasp to which the nasal is firmly riveted at the front.
In addition to its historically accurate appearance, this metal Spangenhelm offers reasonable comfort thanks to the adjustable leather liner, which can be seen in one of the additional photos.
Thanks to the sturdy chin strap with brass buckle, this helmet stays firmly on the head and does not fall off even during tough combat missions, falls, etc.
Whether you are a historical reenactment enthusiast, an avid LARPer or COSPLAYer, this helmet will be a gem in your gear! Owning and wearing such a piece can provide a powerful personal experience and a greater understanding of the feelings of Viking warriors on their war campaigns.
