The journal is closed with one patinated swing hook clasp. The patinated finish of the leather covers, as well as the paper inside the notepad, make it look like a decades-old item.
Inside the journal you will find 100 sheets (200 pages) of high-quality handmade parchment paper. This old-looking acid-free paper is made up of virgin cotton that gives a feel and texture of fine jute and canvas. You can write on this unlined paper with a biro or pencil and draw with coloured pencils and acrylic paints. Ink pens, watercolours etc. may bleed on this paper.
