How to clean your drinking horn: This drinking horn is supplied clean, however we recommend a thorough cleaning before use. Soak the drinking horn in lukewarm water with washing-up liquid. Scrub the inside of the horn with a bottle brush, being careful to get as far into the horn tip as possible. Then rinse the horn thoroughly.

Another cleaning tip: place the drinking horn in an upright position (preferably in the drinking horn stand) and fill it with warm water. Dissolve two denture cleanser tablets in the horn and leave overnight or at least 8 hours. The ingredients in these tablets provide an extra deep cleanse. After this procedure, scrub the drinking horn again with a bottle brush and rinse well.

If you wish, you can paint (coat) the inside of the horn with food safe epoxy paint. The epoxy paint prevents liquids from seeping through and the drinking horn is then easier to clean.
