Breastplate with back straps, 15th century
This breastplate is made of riveted sheet iron with a thickness of 1.6mm. The riveting is loose to allow the individual plates to move easily. Supplied without back plate - only serves to protect the front of the trunk. Attachment to the torso is by three fixed leather straps with steel buckles that run across the back and waist.
