For a comfortable fit, the helmet is lined with leather which is also attached to a chin strap and a brass buckle. The helmet bowl is reinforced using a layer of another 16gauge steel. The inner circumference of the helmet is approximately 68cm. Room enough to wear a chain mail hood.  The thickness of the nasal is approximately 3.2mm. The material thickness of the clasps is approximately 1.5mm.

Saint Wenceslas Helmet is made on the basis of conical helmet worn by Wenceslaus. Display of this helmet can be found in Prague Castle Czech Republic. Prague Castle helmet has brow band and nasal riveted to the front. Wenceslaus I (ca. 907-935) was Duke of Bohemia from 921 to 935. He was assassinated possibly by his own brother.
