Spiked Ball and Chain Military Flail, 14./15. Century
This hand-crafted flail features a blackened steel ball with spikes attached to a blackened chain which is linked inside a hand wrought blackened steel socket on the haft. This medieval military flail with thorn ball on a chain was once used by infantrymen as a deadly weapon. It is well suited for re-enactment purposes, where it can be used as an authentic prop.
