It is believed that the original gauntlets were made in Milan Italy between 1370-1400. Consequently, these gauntlets are most suitable for a late 14th to early 15th century Medieval re-enactment armour harnesses.

These gauntlets are made of 1.6 mm thick mild steel. They are decorated with 1.0 mm thick brass bands. They are fastened with robust leather straps that run across the palm and are closed with solid brass buckles. They are fitted with suede inner gloves for greater comfort. Their total length is approx. 27 cm (from the tip of the middle finger to the edge of the cuff). They are available in a one size fits most adult men's hands.
