Chainmail Voiders, Alternating Mild Steel Wedge Riveted Flat Rings and Solid Flat Rings 9mm
This pair of chain arm guards consists of wedge-riveted flat rings and is combined with solid flat rings. The rings are made of mild steel and have an inner diameter of 9mm and a thickness of approx. 1.5mm. These chainmail panels are designed to be sewn onto a quilted jacket, doublet or gambeson to protect the armpits and sides. Although this chainmail can be used to reinforce padded armour on its own, it is best worn under plate armour to cover the gaps between the individual plates. More information...

This pair of mail voiders are constructed from wedge-riveted flat rings and alternated with solid flat rings.
It is a kind of gutter made of chain-mail-mesh. It is to be stitched to the sleeves from the bottom and the sides of the padded jack or gambeson. The chain parts protect the trunk from the sides and partly from the front and from behind. The arms are protected from below and partly from the front and from behind.
