Padded mittens, quilted mittens with leather palms 12th-14th cen.
These padded, quilted mittens protected the hands of foot soldiers and lightly armoured mercenaries. They were used from the 12th to the 14th century. They are made from strong cotton fabric and padded with recycled cotton. Only one layer of soft leather covers the inner part of the mitten - the palm, so that the warrior has a good feel in his hand and can wield his weapon well. They are available in two colours and one size to fit most adult men's hands. More information...
