The paper edges are patinated with flame, which makes the notebook an impression of the old original. The binding is glued. The card on the cover runs across the notebook spine uninterrupted. If you open it and lay down with sheets of paper down, you can see the whole ancient map of the Pacific from 16. century. It fits perfectly as a prop or as a stylish travel notebook.
