The one-piece folding visor covers the face down to the mouth level. A fitting bevor can be be delivered with this sallet on request. Compared to the original, the helmet bowl on the sides and in the neck area is about 2-3cm (1 inch) longer. The sight (observation slit) in the visor is of sufficient size and offers adequate outlook. The lower edge of the helmet bowl and of the visor is smoothly bent. The full-face visor is locked in the closed position with a steel bolt on spring (also called as push-pin) and is so secured against opening when running e.g. The bolts on which the visor is mounted are made of brass. Variant of a German Sallet 1475-1490 with extended helmet bowl

The bevor is not attached to the sallet. What looks like a pivot on the site (on the original), it is actually a push-pin connected with the safety lock-hook, keeping the visor in the lower position.
