Hounskul or bascinet with replaceable visor, 14th-15th cen.
This helmet is composed of a closed skullcap and two visors. With one visor you create a Hounskul (mid-14th century) and with the second visor you create a Great bascinet, which was in use from the early 14th to early 15th century. In this set you get for the price 2 different helmets! The visors are attached on both sides with a pin connection with the hinges on the helmet bowl. The right hinge can be locked in two positions so that the visor is held in the up-tilted and lowered position as needed. More information...
