Leather-covered glass bottle 1866, content 0.75 L
This leather-covered glass bottle resembles the Prussian or Austro-Hungarian flask dated 1866. It is very popular among fencers, Reenactors and LARP fans. The disadvantage of this bottle compared to the leather flask is its higher weight and the risk of breakage if the bottle should fall on a hard surface. Its advantage is however that you can keep alcoholic beverages in it, which is not possible with leather bottles, as the wax is dissolved by alcohol. Another advantage is that gas bottles are harmless to health. Wax, with which leather bottles are sealed, can contaminate the liquid kept inside. More information...
