Classical swept-hilt Rapier
Exceptional not only for its exquisite beauty, but also for its lightning-quick speed. This rapier, reproduced from an original in the collection of Hank Reinhardt, shows off one of the more graceful and sublime designs from a period when no two swords were made exactly alike. There were often tremendous differences in rapiers because of varying amounts of skill of the blade maker, the hilt maker, and the cutler who assembled them. This particular swept- hilt design, which is truly a work of art, was in use for over a hundred years. Can be seen in a documentary Deadly Duels. Blade made of high quality high carbon steel. Scabbard included. More information...
