Crossbow without string is useless, of course. Therefore, we offer several types of crossbow strings from which you surely choose the right string!

A crossbow is a weapon consisting of a bow mounted on a stock that shoots projectiles, often called bolts or quarrels. Crossbows were often used in the Middle Ages. Now crossbows are used as sporting weapons. Crossbows for hunting are allowed in some countries (not in the Czech Republic).

Shooting a crossbow was frequent in Czech battlefields since the 13th century. Crossbows were probably developed as improvement of the bow. Crossbow arrow could penetrate armour of a knight. However, crossbow had many disadvantages. It was heavy and loading the crossbow took long. Medieval crossbow was composed of prod, crossbow string, stirrup, bolt, lever-type trigger, tiller or stock, crannequin, nut or catch.

The crossbow strings must be regularly lubricated using the string waxes. Then they will work long and well.

Must never shoot without an arrow! Otherwise you will risk injury and your crossbow string and prod can be damaged.
