Archery quiver underwent at least significant development. Classic leather quivers or textile quivers are primarily used during shooting the long bows. They are worn on the back. Arrows are taken out from them over the shoulder. They are often decorated.

Two types of quivers are used for sports archery. First model was developed from so called gun holster. It is attached to a belt. Arrows are faced backwards in the quiver. The second type of quiver is also worn on a belt. But end of the arrows are faced ahead. So the archer can choose the arrow at his convenience. Various pockets and handles for accessories are sewn on both quivers.

Archery is about 50,000 years old. Today, it is especially relaxing movement activity. An archer is absolutely calm and concentrated only on the present time. There are only an archer, his bow, arrow and target.
