Menukis
Menuki 贯 贯 [め ぬ き] are ornaments located on the handle of a katan and a wakizashi. They define the sword's character and can symbolise the owner's connection with the sword. The menuki can be replaced when the tsuka (handle) is unpacked. They're sold in pairs and are located on both sides of the handle.
