Renaissance women's clothes
Renaissance fashion, although largely inspired by antiquity, brought many new things to clothing. The bodice and skirt were often separated. Ornate ruffled sleeves began to be sewn to the bodice, which changed frequently. The bodice used to have a round or square neckline. Gradually, the ideal of beauty also changed. Initially, rather slender figures were highlighted, then stronger figures from the 16th century. Men and women's clothing also began to grow stronger. Significant differences in clothing were related to social status.
